AMERICAFEST 2011!

85th Annual 4th of July celebration at the Rose Bowl.

There is nothing like fireworks on the Fourth of July and the Pasadena Rose Bowl seems to do them better than most each and every year.  The Fireworks Spectacular at the Rose Bowl is better known as Americafest. It is a grand festival of food, great bands, a military fly over and a death defying motorcycle thrill act. I’ve attached a schedule, how to get tickets and a note about parking fees (see below).

Locals note:

If you are not into all the flair, you can hang with all the locals on the Colorado Street Bridge. I doubt it is a secret anymore, but people from Glendale to Monrovia come and park at the Pasadena Elks lodge and then walk to bridge to watch the fireworks. An awesome view of the fireworks and little hassle to leave Pasadena once the fireworks are over. Try to get there by 8ish. The bridge and the Elks Lodge fill up quickly.

  1. How LONG do the fireworks last?

  2. You’re giving out the bridge secret! Well, 4 sure now everyone knows about it.

  3. Hahaha, Cafe Pasadena, you crack me up. I’m pretty sure that the bridge seceret was out a looooooog time ago. Then again it’s always great to think that your tiny little blog can be so viral as to bring thousands people to a Pasadena celebration. Maybe someday. You never know. 🙂
