“DISNEY’S CHRISTMAS CAROL” – Free screening DEC 15th

ImageThe Playhouse District Association brings joy to all this holiday season with a free movie screening of “Disney’s A Christmas Carol,” starring Jim Carrey on Saturday, December 15, 10 am at Laemmle Playhouse 7 Theatres, 673 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena.

The free movie screening is part of the Playhouse District’s annual Merry Merry Movie event that features the free movie screening and holiday concert.  The family-friendly event is free and all-ages are welcome.

Following the movie screening there will be a holiday concert by the St. Lucy’s Big Christmas Band at the Vroman’s courtyard. The St. Lucy’s Big Christmas Band is comprised of professional musicians, music teachers, and recording artists who come together once a year to play during the holiday season.

”Merry Merry Movie is a very popular annual event and the Playhouse District has added a second theater this year to accommodate twice as many people.  Santa will be on hand to greet the movie goers even if they have been naughty or nice” said Erlinda Romo, Playhouse District Association Executive Director.

The 2009 film “Disney’s Christmas Carol” directed by Robert Zemeckis is an animated retelling of Charles Dickens’ classic novel about a Victorian-era miser taken on a journey of self-redemption, courtesy of several mysterious Christmas apparitions starring Jim Carrey.

Mr. Pasadena says ” Nothing says happy holidays like a free movie! If you have the chance to attend I can assure you that the Playhouse district intends to add more smiles and joy to your holidays with their annual Merry Merry Movie”
