Have you ever seen the Tournament of Roses house and wondered what it must be like inside that gorgeous mansion? The Pasadena Tournament of Roses conducts FREE tours of the mansion at 2pm and 3pm every Thursday from February till the end of August. That means that there are only three more Thursdays that you can visit the Tournament house before the end of the year.
Your knowledgeable tour guide will take you on a 2 story tour winding through the various rooms dedicated to the Tournament president, the Grand Marshal, the Rose Bowl Game, the royal court and more. This behind the scenes tour also touches on the rich history of the house and its significance to the Tournament of Roses. It’s a tour that every Rose Parade enthusiast and Pasadena native should take. And let me say it again..It’s FREE!
Why do the tours end in August? The Tournament really begins to move into high gear and the house is busy with daily meetings of the various committees, all of which lead to the parade on the first of each year (except for next year when the parade will be on Jan. 2nd 2012 due to the long standing agreement with local churches not to hold the parade on a Sunday).
Not to sound like a TV commercial, but if you act now… I will be happy to give you the mansion tour myself. That’s right I am also a very proud Tournament of Roses member and I am very excited about these tours. It would be an honor and a privilege to be your guide for the last 3 tours.

My daughter’s Girl Scout Troop participated in the tour lead by Mr. Pasadena himself. It was great, educational and the girls loved it as much as the leaders themselves!! I would highly recommend it!!
I’ve been on these tours. But if you’re giving them this month I wood join you if I could learn something new.
